A Suitable Boy Bookathon

I am going to embark on a reading project over the coming year, lead by the lovely dovegreyreader.

Every year, she chooses a ‘chunkster’ that all bookworms have been meaning to read and splits it into manageable sections over the months. She then leads a discussion about it occasionally on her blog – you can find out more here. I came a little late to the Middlemarch project last year which was a shame, but A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth, this year’s choice, is almost as good! I’ve tried to start A Suitable Boy at least twice and always failed. As I’m not entirely sure why I’ve failed and certainly didn’t dislike what I have read,  I would still like to complete it and so DGR’s guidance will be invaluable. I’m also looking forward to feeling part of a community for a little while, as reading such a big book on your own can be both daunting and solitary I think. It will be very nice to have people to chat to about it with who are discovering it at the same time!

Will you join us? Or do you have any reading projects of your own this winter?
