Hello!
Welcome to the Chestnut Book Blog. My name is Caroline and I hope you find this a friendly, happy place in which to discuss books, recommend them and generally revel in the written word! I set up this blog because I was inspired by the many excellent blogs on books (including Cornflower Books and dovegreyreader), but I couldn’t always find posts about the books I like to read.
So who am I and what do I like to read? Well, by day I work for a cultural relations organisation and by night I can usually be found with my nose in a book! My literary taste is relatively eclectic, but in these pages you will find all sorts of fiction and even the occasional poem when the mood strikes me. Finally, in case you were wondering, this blog is names after my pet guinea pig, Chestnut, who enjoys the written word so much that she insists on eating her newspaper bedding!
