Birthday baking

It was my birthday recently and I received the latest Hummingbird bakery cookery book, Home Sweet Home, from my lovely sister-in-law. It is a lovely book with lots of tempting recipes. The cupcakes looked particularly good.

Don’t you hate it when they stick ugly labels to books you then can’t peel off ? You can see my attempts beneath ‘Waterstones’ above!

As said sister-in-law was visiting last week, we thought we’d try out one of the recipes together and here are the results!

They went down very well with a cup of tea at 3pm!
